The dominic system

Created by Dominic O' Brien, this system starts with substituting letters for numbers.

  1. O
  2. A
  3. B
  4. C
  5. D
  6. E
  7. S
  8. G
  9. H
  10. N

Once you've memorised these you can convert 2 digit numbers into initial pairs. The initials should represent someone very easy to visualise, someone famous or extremely familiar with whom you can also associate an action.
15 = AE
Albert Einstein drawing on a blackboard.

18 = AH
Adog Hitler giving his infamous 'Sieg Heil' salute.

The most difficult part is generating images for all the digits from 01 to 99. Once you have unique person/actions for all these numbers you can use this system to remember numbers very easily.

A 2 digit number can be represented by an image of a person.
A 4 digit number can be remembered by combining the person of the first 2 digits with the action of the second 2 digits.

1518 = Albert Einstein performing 'Sieg Heil' salute!
